A Weird Day...

Today was a weird day...Friday is the day I usually write and I was prepared today...well, mostly prepared anyway.  I woke up around 5:45am and put the news on only to hear of the devastation that took place in Japan the day before. The stuff I saw reminded me of the movie '2012'! Earthquakes, tsunamis, giant whirlpools caused by both, massive out-of-control fires, nuclear reactors coming undone...WOW! My heart immediately went out to the victims and families.  I found it difficult to write simply because I was so distracted by what was taking place on the other side of the globe.  This is a people who have prepared like no other for disasters like this and in spite of that their country lay in ruins with countless thousands dead, injured or missing. Just goes to show you how helpless we really are in the face of the awesome power of God's creation.

I couldn't finish my message today...I couldn't get these people out of my mind. Please pray for them...The apostle Paul tells us in Romans 8 that God can work all things together for good for those who love him and are called according to his purpose. It also tells us that creation itself groans awaiting the day that God sets things aright...awaiting the day when it too will be redeemed.  I know there are followers of Christ as well as missionaries in Japan and that God loves and desires that the Japanese people come to know and trust in Jesus. Pray for those guys too...and the ones who will be making their way over to help in the days to come. Someday...someday at just the right time...God will square this whole mess away...and it will be glorious! I can hardly wait...! kmo

There has been so much going on in these countries and now this. This proves how much we need God in our lives more than ever.Invite all your families and friends to come to Legacy and listen to Kevins teaching on the real truth of the bible..And then share it with everyone you know so that none will perish.
